A pharma distributor, secured end-to-end.
Aventa Barbados needed surveillance across their warehouse and pharmaceutical handling areas, integrated access control on cold-storage, and a network upgrade to support it all. We designed, supplied, installed and commissioned the lot — and trained their team to operate it. Delivered in partnership with Quoviz.

The brief,
in three beats.
What they needed.
Pharmaceutical handling means cold-chain integrity, controlled access to inventory, and audit-able surveillance. Aventa's existing setup was a patchwork — some cameras, some doors, no unified system, no central monitoring.
How we tackled it.
Site assessment, end-to-end design, vendor selection (Hikvision + HID access control), network upgrade to carry the new load. Phased install with after-hours work to keep operations running.
What happened.
Single dashboard for surveillance and access. Cold-storage access logged per cardholder. Network capacity for the next five years of growth.
Inside the
engagement.
Site assessment
Two days on-site measuring camera coverage, cable runs, and network drops. Photographed every blind spot and every cold-storage entry point. Designed the system around the real building, not a stock plan.
Surveillance + access control
IP cameras covering all entry points, loading bay and pharma handling. HID access control on cold-storage with time-window restrictions per cardholder. NVR with cloud backup so an on-site incident doesn't lose the footage.
- 24/7 surveillance with motion alerts
- Cold-storage time-windowed access per role
- NVR + cloud backup for footage redundancy
- Mobile + desktop dashboards for the ops lead
Network upgrade
The old network couldn't carry the camera load. We upgraded to Cisco Meraki throughout, with PoE switches in the rack and properly cabled drops. Cisco-certified team, fully documented.
We know who's where and when, all the time. That's a category change for us.
